Pillow wall for a bed standing besides the wall :)

Even it is shown on the sofa, it is meant to be for the bed. And it is already there, I think it is really nice. Have seen somewhere in the blog a similar version of making mattress. Probably it could also be used fro this.

Probably I am beginning to feel spring, filled with a lot of love, as I am making heart shaped things a t the moment. :)

Baby things...

While excited mother and farther and the rest of the family is waiting for a little angel to come, and mother is getting less and less patient, a lot of nice baby things have been created:


Last year we have bought a sweet cradle, what had not bed linning, what was made by my to make sure, that baby will be able to sleep well. I imagine how easy it will be to transport this litle thing around in the house. Knitted blanket in the cradle is completely finished already long time ago, but somehow no pictures were made.
And today it was a baby sling made:


Baby sling is made by following these tutorials: tutorial 1 and tutorial 2. I am happy I have found a measure band in inches, as to transfer to cm was way too complicated.
I just have to mention that the overlock makes my sewing much easier and it looks much more professional made. I am extremely glad, when it looks so well.
Now we feel ready :-)

looking around and see so many knitted things... and feeling a bit sad

Yesterday I was out for a course with 10 nice ladies. I looked around and found out, that all of them have nice knitted things.I begun to feel confused, as i am knitting as well, but it looks like I do not wear what I have, as I had not a single smallest thing with me, what was home made... Need to do something about it... more knitting!!!
It is what I am working on at the moment.

I am close to 3/8 of what it supposed to be... it is still quite some to do, until it is done :-)

I decided not to write a million of posts about the same project, but update the same, so it would be all collected in the same place. Maybe I am going to change my mind at some point, but now it is going to be like this.

A copy... again :) but the one who got it as a present is very very happy! And doesn't care it is not "original"

It was my trial to copy this. And it is clearly seen that it is a copy, but a very good combination of colours and the "patchwork" solution was very exciting to try. It was done just when the summer has ended, so after these pictures I didn't have it on... next summer :-)

An updated version of summer hat. It has been much smaller before, but now it is much more practical. The picture is taken at the end of April, and it was where a real summer was :-)

I just recently visited my family and found some of my very old knitting works :) Maybe 10 years old or so? Sweet isn't it? i think it took much longer time to make it, if compared to how long time I was wearing it. But I think at least the read one I am going to wear again in some cold winter time.

...by guidelines from Timotei http://timotei-timotei.blogspot.com/ this beatify little bag came out today :D a first little creature with my new (old) Huskvarna Viking. I feel like i am becoming better at sewing. and i like so much. so much relaxing and extremely nice to enjoy the final result

scarf

it took me a whole morning to make this, and I am very very happy with the result. It is not a rocket science to sew it. It is a pleasure to wear it. now I feel ready for what fall brings. and funny enough, thou i was speaking over 10 years English, I have still to translate many words from other languages, as it feels like I don't remember it as well any more. I hope to "blog" more in the future, so language would improve as well.

a litle pouch for GPS

it is also my first quilting work. Been working on this project for quite some days and also have learned, that all i need is to measure before cutting and decide before it is not too late. it is a very sweet pouch, a little bit unequal, what gives it even more charm :D
funny enough my sewing machine didn't brake down, thou it was close to it. and i have broken at least 3 needles. I think next time it will not be so thick material. I want to go for a thin cotton. and the next project of mine is a patch worked pillow 60x90 cm. I think it will be great. At least my bed is missing it.

Patchwork and sewing

I am so much attracted by sewing and looking at the pictures of patchwork, that had no time to update my blog. i already made a nice blouse and now sewing a overall in flowers. also looking forwards for my new kit for patchwork, and then I will try something. A new old
I was decorating my chairs in the dining room, as it has to be lighter and more comfortable for the times, when we eat dinner together, or when I enjoy my breakfast. it is sewed one nice day some time ago and I am pretty happy about the result. It looks like this:

I should probably mention, that the chairs and the material for them are from ikea.

...it has been a long time since the last post. If for 5 months ago we said, that now it is a lot of time for reeding the books and doing hobbies at home, so now this period is already gone and the only wish is to spend as much as possible time outside, enjoy the sun light and warmth.
this day in Copenhagen is extremely nice and therefore nice to know that the spring is already here! Have a nice day everybody!
